For hosts

Host responsibilities

Hosting on Plotto should feel light. A few simple habits keep your guests safe, your neighbours happy, and your Plot ready to welcome the next visitor.

  • Keep your listing accurate

Update photos, price, size and rules as things change. Honest listings make for happy guests — and fewer surprises.

  • Maintain reasonable safety

Walk your Plot before each booking. Flag obvious hazards in the Safety Information section so guests can plan ahead.

  • Respect your neighbours

Keep noise reasonable, manage parking thoughtfully, and let neighbours know if you're hosting larger groups.

  • Manage parking and noise

Set sensible limits in your Plot Rules. A small Plot with one approach lane probably can't host ten cars at sunrise.

  • Have permission to host

If you don't own the land, make sure your landlord, freeholder or local authority is comfortable with you listing it.
